摘 要
產品的市場競爭力與產品設計人員的專業能力密切相關，導致近年來全球對設計人才的需求急速增長。其中，手繪草圖的設計表現技法被認為是構想表達及設計溝通的基礎工具，但仍欠缺系統性的能力指標，和相關職涯發展階段的關聯性也有待釐清。隨著設計人才的培養益發重要，本研究探討工業設計人才的職涯發展階段，尤其針對手繪草圖能力相關的能力指標進行理論整合，進而對其在工業設計人員職涯發展的不同階段中所扮演的角色進行探索。依此目的，本研究首先在理論層次區分人才的層次，歸納設計人才所需的相關能力，尤其是手繪草圖的技能；進而藉由半結構式的深入訪談和自評問卷，探討手繪草圖能力在職涯發展中的重要性，並分析手繪草圖能力在職涯階段中與專業之連結性。在文獻基礎上，本研究更細緻的描繪了手繪草圖能力的角色，提供新進工業設計人員做為日後職涯發展的參考依據。此外，本研究更指出新進人員自我效能與資深人員自我評價之間的潛在議題，值得後續探討。

Abstract
The growing awareness of the close connection between the market competitiveness of a product and the capabilities of its designer has resulted in a solid demand for industrial design talents. Amongst abilities required for designers, sketching is considered fundamental for design communication while systems of criteria for evaluation is still weak and its roles in the career development of industrial designers shall not be neglected. In this vein, this research has explored various development stages of industrial design career with a focus on sketch skills, distinguishing the core roles of sketching in each stage and integrating the evaluation criteria. Accordingly, levels of designers are separated in terms of skills and abilities while sketch skills are identified with literature review; research questionnaire and semi-structural interviews are then conducted on junior and senior industrial designers. The result coincides with the literature, showing that sketch skills are considered fundamental in every stages of industrial design career regardless of the length of practice time. Furthermore, it is revealed that there are underlying issues regarding self-efficacy for junior designers and self-evaluation for senior ones, both of which deserve further studies in the future.
