Abstract
This case study investigates the implementation, challenges, and efficacy of immersive indigenous language instruction within an early childhood education context. Focusing on a kindergarten affiliated with an elementary school, the study examines an initiative to revitalize the Paiwan language through school-family-community collaboration. The research utilizes a qualitative methodology, drawing on data from interviews with instructors, administrators, and community elders. Results demonstrate that immersive pedagogy fosters both language acquisition and cultural identity among young learners. Despite these positive outcomes, the program faces systemic barriers, including resource constraints and gaps in professional teacher training. The study concludes that sustaining language revitalization requires robust government policy support, active family engagement, and integrated community partnerships.
